{"id":112,"date":"2012-01-24T14:04:46","date_gmt":"2012-01-24T14:04:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/?p=112"},"modified":"2012-01-24T14:06:44","modified_gmt":"2012-01-24T14:06:44","slug":"developing-with-google-chrome-disable-cache","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/2012\/01\/24\/developing-with-google-chrome-disable-cache\/","title":{"rendered":"Developing with Google Chrome &#8211; Disable Cache"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you&#8217;re like me and do web developing you have to use Google Chrome one time or another to check the results (depends on everyone, I like Chrome&#8217;s developer tools, so I use it a lot).<\/p>\n<p>One of the things that bothers most web developers is the browser&#8217;s cache (which is a very nice feature, but sometime it just hinders the development process as we don&#8217;t know if our change didn&#8217;t work out because it was wrong, or the browser didn&#8217;t update the html\/css\/javascript file).<\/p>\n<p>So, to disable Google Chrome&#8217;s cache while developing, fire the Developer Tools (F12) and <strong>press the little &#8220;gear&#8221; icon on the right bottom of the screen (see picture bellow)<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_113\" style=\"width: 810px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/settings.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-113\" class=\"size-full wp-image-113\" title=\"Google Chrome Settings\" src=\"http:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/settings.png\" alt=\"Google Chrome Settings\" width=\"800\" height=\"438\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/settings.png 800w, https:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/settings-300x164.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-113\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Google Chrome Settings<\/p><\/div>\n<p>If you do that, the settings screen will appear and you should see the &#8220;Disable Cache&#8221; setting, check the box and happy coding (see picture bellow):<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_114\" style=\"width: 845px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/nocache.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-114\" class=\"size-full wp-image-114\" title=\"Disable Chrome Cache\" src=\"http:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/nocache.png\" alt=\"Disable Chrome Cache\" width=\"835\" height=\"447\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/nocache.png 835w, https:\/\/www.corrspt.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/nocache-300x160.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 835px) 100vw, 835px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-114\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Disable Chrome Cache<\/p><\/div>\n<p>And that disables Google Chrome&#8217;s Cache.
